Damien's Weekly Round-Up
Happy almost Thanksgiving, fellow Canadians. Happy regular Saturday, everyone else.
I spent way too long this week updating the print covers and interiors of the Lost Time series, and refreshed the Amazon listings, so not too much in the way of new writing got done. It's been six years since I first released that series to print, and a bunch of things have changed in the back matter, so I thought it was time for an update.
It's a frustrating, fiddly, time-consuming process, but also very creative and satisfying. Either way, now that it's done, I can forget about it for another half-decade or so.
The good news is all the books in the "Reszoverse" series across print and ebook will now have a similar feel, and that will continue into Timespace Empire.
I've got some copies of the old books still kicking around, which I'm sure will become collector's copies one day (right?) and I'm planning on giving them away to some lucky by.damienboyes.com site member soon.
Oh, you're not a member yet? It's absolutely free. Go on and sign-up, why don't-cha?
Here's what happened this week:
Relative Gravity, chapters 09 and 10 went live.
I released another two new world building videos. These two are probably my favourite so far. They reference scenes and events from the books, mostly Klaxon Overdrive Supernova (which you can get for free when you become a free member of the site).
I've got one more in this series planned for Monday, then I'll be starting on a new series that takes us closer to the events of Timespace Empire.
I'm also going to be ramping up my posting on TikTok, so if you've ever wanted to know what the oldest thing in my office is, or how many images of R2-D2 I have in my general vicinity when I'm writing, this is where you can find out.
That's it from me. If you have any questions or just want to chat, or if there's anything you'd like to see on TikTok, let me know. You can always reach me at damien@damienboyes.com.
Until next week,
Damien
